Wright Brothers Memorial set for 113th anniversary of first flight on Saturday
As the National Park Service partners with the First Flight Society to celebrate the 113th anniversary of the first powered flight on Saturday, Dec. 17, the centennial of U.S. Coast Guard Aviation and the centennial of the National Park Service will also be celebrated. The anniversary event will take place at the Wright Brothers National Memorial in Kill Devil Hills and entrance fees to the park will be waived for the day.
First Flight Society President Mike Smith will open the ceremony at 9 a.m. with welcoming remarks by National Park Service Deputy Director for Congressional and External Affairs Denise Ryan and Outer Banks Group Superintendent David Hallac. The keynote speaker will be Admiral Paul F. Zukunft, the 25th Commandant of the Coast Guard. OuterBanks Voice Sentinel
Wright Brothers 113th Anniversary Dec 17, 2016
We had a pretty good day at the Wright Brothers National Memorial today. Thanks to all who came out to participate, lend support, and help in any way. I just merged the files and printed the report. I will submit it to LoTW for final confirmation but here is the preliminary report:

So what are we doing ?
Duane is coordinating the effort and will be onsite from 7:00 AM Saturday Dec17th, 2016 through 5:00 PM
We have N3FJP amateur contact logging software on two laptops. This software will submit logs to LOTW for confirmations.
- 40M and 20M dipoles
- 3K Honda generator and some batteries to power everything.
We will be probably running 2 HF rigs one on 40m and one on 20m.
